K&N Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Aircharger (2007-2009)
  The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 5.4L V8 provides a steady power increase across the rpm range culminating with an additional 53.71
hp at 5900 rpm. K&N’s best performing intake system to date; the 63-2571 replaces the Shelby’s original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with anall-new intake design. The new system draws air through a large cone-shaped K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and filtering capacity, and never needs to be replaced. Protecting the chrome top air filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a powder coated steel heat shield that replaces the stock air box. As it passes the filter, air travels through a new larger diameter molded Polyethylene Tube that changes shape from round, at the filter inlet to oval at the throttle body. The new intake tube shape and design allows for a
more laminar flow of air to the Shelby’s 5.4L V8 engine, resulting in 53 extra horsepower.
