The preferred method to reach us is by email. We have found this method to be very efficient and actually preferred by most of our customers. If we are researching a new product request for you, it may take a day or two to receive answers from our vendors and relay the information to you. If you don't hear something soon please write again or call us. With all the spam filters in place these days we do miss some emails. Voice Mail: If we do not answer your call personally, please leave a message and we will do our best to return your call promptly. We rely on our voicemail to help with calls while we are either on the phone with other customers or in the warehouse packing orders. We check for messages frequently and do return all calls.

We accept internet, mail, and phone orders. Complete the online order process for all orders. You will receive an automatic confirmation by email. That will let you know that we have received and are processing your order. If adjustments to your order are necessary to add or reduce shipping costs, or to give you credit for a discount or special we are running, you will receive a revised and final order by email.

To send orders by mail: You can select "Mail Order" as the payment method during the checkout process. Wait until you have received a revised order if changes were necessary. Then print and send your order by mail to:

We are currently accepting American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Discover. Your order is processed over a secure server. (See privacy policy). If you order by mail or fax and use a credit card, please provide the following information: your name, exactly as it appears on the card; card number and expiration date; the name of the bank that issued the card and the address where you receive your credit card statements. Sign your name and provide us with a contact phone number. Please note that your card will not be charged until the merchandise you've ordered is ready to ship. The only exception to this is for special or custom orders (i.e. painted wings).



We do not accept personal checks. Mail order is by money order or cashier's check only. Please make these payable to Afterthoughts Auto. Orders will be processed as soon as payment is received.



Unfortunately, if we are shipping your order to Texas we have to charge you 8.25% sales tax.



48 Contiguous U.S. Residents
We want you to see your shipping costs up front and at the time of your order. We feel that pricing methods based on the total cost of the order are not always fair to the customer or involve inflated product costs to absorb the shipping costs. Therefore, we reflect the cost with each item and generally use the most economical and secure method for the type of product. Sometimes items you order come from different locations, which is another reason why shipping is charged on each item you buy. In the event you order more than one of the same item or items from the same supplier, we will make every effort to adjust your shipping costs down once we receive your order. We will never raise the shipping costs without your approval. Some of our items may not be in stock at the time of your order. In those cases we may decide to have items shipped directly from the distributor or manufacturer to your door for the fastest possible service.

In general, most items are shipped within three to five business days of your order. Special orders may take longer, i.e. painted products. If you wish to have something sent via upgraded shipping methods we may be able to help. Please e-mail us to ask. Please understand that orders placed after shipping hours (which vary by distributor and time zone) are considered as having been ordered on the next business day. UPS does not deliver on weekends. Some items may be shipped by regular US mail or USPS Priority or Express Mail (for example, NASCAR Road Atlas) or other non-trackable means. They can take up to seven business days to arrive. UPS Ground from coast to coast can take up to eight business days, so please allow time for your package to arrive. Also, please remember that holidays can interfere with normal shipping times.

Canada, Alaska & Hawaii Residents
All the above shipping policies apply to residents of Canada, Alaska and Hawaii as well. However, orders shipped to these locations may incur additional charges after placing your initial order. Offers of free shipping generally only apply to residents of the 48 contiguous United States. However if there is a free shipping offer we will discount your shipping so you still receive some benefit of the special. We will adjust your order as necessary and advise you of the total before finalizing your order and billing you. Update! Please note that we have received reports of excessive fees charged by UPS to Canadian customers for "brokerage fees". We are trying to understand these charges and find alternative shipping methods that will not incur excessive fees above and beyond the regular shipping fees. Other methods may result in shipping delays once the package arrives at the border. If you have any information on this or have a preferred method of shipping, please let us know.



All items are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment to you. All parts are backed by the limited warranty extended by the manufacturer. Warranties will vary depending on the product. When applicable, we provide the manufacturer's warranty information on the product's order page. Please keep your receipt and order information in the event a warranty issue should occur. Parts returned for warranty will be exchanged or credited at our option. We will not back warranty requests due to shipping damage, improper handling or installation, abuse, neglect, accidents, or competition use. Warranty claims apply to the parts only, and do not cover labor, installation, paint, or other incidental charges.



Returns are part of doing business. Please observe the following guidelines:

1) Please email us before returning any item with your reason for requesting a return.

2) We will respond with a return authorization R.A. number and our shipping address. The R.A. number helps us track and process your return quickly and efficiently. Write the R.A. number on the outside of your return package, include a copy of your original invoice, and return the package within 10 days of the receipt of your R.A. number. We will not accept any returns without an R.A. number.

3) All items returned must be in unused condition and in the original packaging.

4) Used, painted or prepped parts are not returnable.

5) Package and insure all items for their full value. Lost or damaged parts cannot be exchanged or refunded.

6) Return packages must be sent pre-paid directly to the shipping address we provide you. We do not accept packages returned to us by Greyhound or other shippers that require us to make terminal will calls. Any return sent C.O.D. will be sent back to you by your freight company.

7) Refunds will be issued by the same method of payment used for the original purchase.

8) Products returned may be subject to a restocking fee and you are responsible for the return shipping costs unless: a) the product is being returned due to defect or b) an error on our part in fulfilling your order. We incur shipping costs and credit card processing fees to fulfill your order. Therefore, if you simply change your mind on the product, please understand that we are unable to refund certain costs.

9) No returns will be accepted after 30 days.



Pricing or Typographical Errors. While we try to provide accurate product and pricing information at all times, pricing or typographical errors may occur. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information, we shall have the right to refuse orders placed for that item. We will notify you of the error and give you the option to cancel the order or proceed based on the correct price or information. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.

Gift Certificates. Gift certificates purchased through the website may continue to be used until there is no balance remaining. The value of the gift certificate can be applied to any of our products including the cost of shipping. If the price of an order exceeds the value of the gift certificate the recipient can pay the outstanding amount with a credit card during the time of purchase (or by mail order). No refunds, either in whole or in part, are provided for gift certificates. Therefore, recipients should use the full value of their gift certificates.

Gift certificates we issue periodically for car show prizes and raffles, whether for a specific dollar amount or for a specific product, must be redeemed or the product claimed, within 6 months from the date of issue. Such certificates may not be redeemed for cash.
